چکیده
The present study aimed to characterize pinto and cranberry bean landraces of Kashmir valley. A set 30 genotypes including 16 12 type two checks viz., Shalimar Rajmash-1 (SR-1) French Bean-1 (SFB-1) were evaluated for seven qualitative 10 quantitative traits. There was a substantial variation among accessions (28 2 checks) all the Out 28 landrace accessions, 13 bushy 15 pole type. Pods predominantly green seed colour brown with characteristic mottling varying shades. medium sized oval seeds. variability as depicted by wide range both morphological quality traits pertaining water absorption well protein content phytic acid. heat map revealed that yield had significant correlation number pods per plant (0.505), followed length (0.455) seeds pod (0.414). Similarly, percentage significantly correlated hydration coefficient wet weight capacity but negatively hard shell coat proportion. Principal component analysis based on related concentrated in first three components four explaining 67.23 % 78.60 variation, respectively. desirable could be identified consistent performance various maturity, high low acid content. Effect of Irrigation Regimes on Yield, Yield Components and Seed Quality of Different Pinto Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) Genotypes
Identification of drought-resistant genotypes is crucial in order to reduce the negative effects of drought, as one of the most important limiting factors of crop production in arid and semiarid regions. Thus, effects of three irrigation regimes (irrigation after 50 (I1), 100 (I2) and 150 (I3) mm evaporation from a class A pan), as the main plot were investigated. These effects were studied on ...
متن کاملPhenotypic Diversity among Croatian Common Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) Landraces
Phenotypic diversity among Croatian common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) landraces was assessed by analysing 12 qualitative and six quantitative traits in 338 accessions collected from all production areas in Croatia. Out of 12 qualitative morphological traits, seed coat colour was the most polymorphic among accessions having the highest Shannon’s information index and discriminating power. Out ...

Gene/QTL discovery for Anthracnose in common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) from North-western Himalayas
Common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) is one of the most important grain legume crops in the world. The beans grown in north-western Himalayas possess huge diversity for seed color, shape and size but are mostly susceptible to Anthracnose disease caused by seed born fungus Colletotrichum lindemuthianum. Dozens of QTLs/genes have been already identified for this disease in common bean world-wide. ...
متن کاملEnvironmental effects on yield and agronomic traits of common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.)
Common bean (Phaseolus vulgar is L.) demand is increasing with an alarming rate around the world, especially in Latin America, Africa, and Asia. Therefore, increased bean yield per hectare i.s the best way to meet the world demand rather than expansion of area under cultivation. The objectives of this experiment were to determine the genotypic variations for green bean and dry seed yield and ma...
